His Purpose for Coming to Planet Earth
Down through the years, there has been so much controversy and debate over the life of our Lord and King. The concern is His message, death, and resurrection, especially in the religious community. There are so many views and opinions as to what His real mission was. As I read, I find that "scholars" have dissected, examined, reviewed, revised and written volumes on these subjects. Yet, many are still confused as to what the King's mission, message, methods and purpose for coming to planet earth was.
What I find, however, is that for us to discover the original purpose and mission of King Jesus, it should be obvious that we must consider His own declaration concerning His purpose and assignment for coming to this world. From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. King Jesus made it quite clear:
And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Personally, I don't see how one can miss it. From these declarations, it is obvious that His intent was to declare, establish and invite all men and women to enter the Kingdom of God. Please note: This is a direct contrast with the focus on religious activities or religious mindsets, being preoccupied with going to heaven. The message and priority of Jesus was occupying and reclaiming earth, rather than designing an escape hatch to heaven for mankind.
Questions to Ponder:

Questions to Ponder:
- Why do you thing there is so much confusion as to the real mission of Jesus Christ? What is the source of the confusion?
- Jesus' intent was to declare the Kingdom of God. What are some things Jesus declared about the Kingdom?
- Jesus was to establish the Kingdom of God. In what ways did He accomplish this? Where was it established?
- King Jesus' purpose was to invite all of mankind to enter the Kingdom of God. Specifically, whom did Jesus invite? Are there representatives from all stations of society? Who responded to His invitation?
- If our purpose is here on earth and not heaven bound, how do most Kingdom citizens need to make a course correction? Do you need a change of course?
