Now when He concluded all His sayings in the hearing of the people, He entered Capernaum. And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die. So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.”
Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” And those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well who had been sick.
Keep in mind, the centurion had so much faith in the Lord Jesus' authority, he only wanted Him to say the Word. Jesus offered to come with the centurion to heal his servant. And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But read what the centurion stated: The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Do you have that kind of faith in the God you claim to believe in? For with God nothing will be impossible.
Those of us who are in the Kingdom, live by our faith in the King. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” The ambassador Paul made it very clear that he wasn't ashamed of his Lord. What I am finding is that many who claim to know and believe in King Jesus keep Him a secret in their day-to-day environment. They live a life and behave as if He is non-existent. In these last days, many prefer to mention the word God, and not say the name of Jesus, His Son. Why is that? There is power in the name of Jesus. Jesus is the door to the Kingdom. When you have a Kingdom mindset, your desire is to please the King. Who is the King? The Lord God's Son, Jesus the Christ. Read what ambassador Paul said: I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Regardless of the environment you may be in, be who you are. You are a Kingdom citizen, in right standing with the King. You will effect your environment and not the other way around. Be a catalyst (that changes its environment) and not a chameleon (that changes to match its environment). Every citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven in good standing always has a positive impact on its environment. Be a catalyst for the Kingdom! By the way, citizens of the Kingdom of God are filled with, and guided by, the Holy Spirit. That is a sure sign you are a Kingdom citizen in good standing. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Do you know that the Governor (Holy Spirit) will give you the kind of peace that will keep you cool, calm and collected while the world around you is in chaos? How can that be? It is because your trust, confidence and faith is in His promises, not in the world. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
This is exactly why I don't sweat the small stuff. For this world is temporary. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Your faith in King Jesus should always conquer your environment. You should always be led by the Holy Spirit. Just listen to Him. You can't love Jesus and fail to be obedient to His Word. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Remember, the Kingdom is not a religion, it is a government. Your access to it is your faith in the King.
