When you are of a Kingdom mindset, you don't seek to become famous or even popular. Your whole purpose is to listen , read and obey.
Keep in mind, King Jesus never set out to become famous or popular. The ambassador Paul made it very plain in this statement: Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. So then, why do so many religious leaders, want to be recognized as a great prophet, preacher, teacher, etc? It's about two things: their environment and their mindset. Without the leading of the Governor--the Holy Spirit, your environment (all the things of this world, including the internet, etc), can greatly affect the way you think and view others. Changing your mindset is a deliberate process, it won't just "happen". You must first submit to the Holy Spirit's guidance and become obedient to His Word. I can't emphasize that enough. Many with a religious mindset, even those who attend a church regularly and claim to love the Lord Jesus, fail to read and be obedient to God's Constitution. Listen to what ambassador John had to say concerning this: Love means doing what God has commanded us, and He has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.
Remember, receiving the Holy Spirit is contingent on your obedience to His commands, which is accomplished through your love for Him. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."
Keep in mind, He will live with you and in you. The Lord Jesus said that He will be with you forever. Allow me to add, the Holy Spirit is a He, not an it and not a thing. It is an extension of the Lord God, One in the trinity, and a gift to those who obey His Word. We need Him--the Holy Spirit. When He comes into your life, you will receive power to overcome through the obedience of His guidance. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
In the natural, when you truly love someone, that love will lead to trusting them. It is the same with the King. If you truly love Him, you will totally trust Him and want to obey Him by living by His Word (God's Constitution). Love breeds trust, you can't have one without the other. “If you love me, obey My commandments."
Those of us with a Kingdom mindset, embrace the Word and all it's precepts. A world mindset will reject many of those precepts if they are in conflict with that worldview. Jesus represented that Kingdom mindset when responding to the religious leaders of His day: Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
The Kingdom mindset is eternal and unchanging. It does not change with the culture of the day, because it is based on the eternal Word of God. But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided (double-minded) between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
When you embrace the Kingdom, you will develop a Kingdom mindset and will discover that you only have one obligation and that is to the Lord God's Constitution (His Word).
Remember, your greatest, most precious asset is your faith in the King.
