Image by -MayaQ- from Pixabay The Holy Spirit is the most valuable person on this planet. Keep in mind that earth is a colony of heaven. The Holy Spirit teaches the King’s citizens how to live a Kingdom lifestyle and speak the Kingdom language. Remember the gathering in the upper room when the Holy Spirit came: When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1-4
Without the Holy Spirit as our Governor, the Kingdom could not exist. It is the Lord God’s Spirit that makes us citizens—not just attending a church, watching religious TV or wearing a cross. It is an internal spiritual work. We as citizens of His Kingdom represent His government. For example, the way you treat your spouse is representative of His Kingdom. You can’t treat your spouse poorly and unlovingly and say you are filled with the King’s Spirit. You have a choice and that choice must be in line with His Word. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT If the Governor isn’t working in you, your actions and lifestyle will reveal it.
Remember, you must be led of the Spirit and not your emotions. Emotions are temporary, fleeting. But actions driven by emotions have a lasting effect. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:13-14 Make note of what ambassador Paul stated: “If you are led by the Spirit—meaning the Holy Spirit our Governor in the Kingdom—these are the sons of God” (citizens of the King).
As long as His Kingdom is represented in you by the Holy Spirit, the King is obligated to protect His territory from outside threats and danger. He is obligated to provide for the needs of His citizens. And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. Luke 12:29-32 NLT My wife Arlene and I are a living testimony to this! Ambassador Paul can testify to that as well. His assignment was to deliver the message of the King to the Gentiles. That was his purpose and assignment from the King. Here is what the Lord told Ananias concerning Saul: But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. Acts 9:15
The whole time Saul—name changed to Paul sometime after his conversion—was carrying out his assignment; Paul was under the King’s protection. Yet he suffered many things. You see, being under the King’s protection doesn’t mean that there will never be struggles and difficulties. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake. Acts 9:16 But these things also serve the King’s Purpose.
When you are under the leading and guidance of our Governor, His power and protection will be with you. The King will send an angel to assist you just as He did Paul. “And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.” Acts 27:22-25
We must believe in the words of the King just as Paul did!
We as citizens of His Kingdom hold the keys to our success. If you believe His Word you will live by His Word without question. There must be a point in our Kingdom life where we stop questioning and simply—completely—trust Him! Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
And keep in mind that faith without works is dead. We step out in faith and trust He is leading us! But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
The Holy Spirit is our most precious, priceless gift from our Lord and King! For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.
