Image by Aritha from Pixabay His Words gave life to every living thing that creeps upon the earth. Take a moment now to read Genesis 1, seeing the power that is in the Lord God’s very Word. The King’s Words give life. The Lord Jesus made this very clear: It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63
If you want the Holy Spirit on you and in your mortal body, you must have His Word in you by reading and studying His Constitution. Then the Holy Spirit will fill you and guide you through His Word that works in you. For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13
The Holy Spirit is our Kingdom Governor, guiding, teaching, revealing all that the Lord God wants us to know. God's Word is the key! Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My Words; and the Word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 14:23-26
“I am the true bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will not die as your ancestors did (even though they ate the manna) but will live forever.” John 6:58 NLT The bread that Jesus was speaking of while addressing the people before Him was His Words. He was the Word manifested in a body of flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3 The power is in God’s Word.
Now we have the Word—God’s Constitution—in print. We read, study, and consume it to get it down in our spirit! We as Kingdom citizens should be very careful of what we speak or say. Words have meaning and influence. Though we don’t speak the world into existence, our words will frame our life. King Solomon reminds us of the power of our tongue: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 And remember ambassador Paul’s words to ambassador Timothy, encouraging him to study God’s Word: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
Every preacher and teacher of the Lord God’s Constitution should encourage you to read and study the Lord God’s Word for yourself. By doing that, the Holy Spirit will teach and guide you into all Truth. If they fail to do this, then they have failed in doing the purpose the King has for them. In other words, they are doing their own thing. Also, there are churches and leaders who want to keep their members dependant on them. That is natural when their position is looked at as a job. They need you to need them. It is job security. It's not always that way, but it is wise to be aware. Jesus warned about these kinds of religious leaders: “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in." Matthew 23:13
Stay tuned to the Holy Spirit, follow His lead and
you will never go wrong.
When you read and study the Words of the King, you must embrace it and make it your way of life. Remember that we are tripod beings and He promised us everlasting life! “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24
Keep in mind that this life is temporary. We are passing through, sent with a God given purpose to fulfill! Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Mark 13:31 You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. James 4:14
Your life hinges on believing the Words of the Lord God. Your eternal life hinges on embracing and living according to His Word. Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:1-3
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.
