But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. Hebrews 11:4-11
There are many religious individuals who claim to know the Lord God and King, yet don’t have an understanding of what it is to live by faith in Him!
Living by faith is a lifestyle and our Kingdom culture. Anything else is to attempting to live by the world’s standards. When the Lord God spoke to Abram, He spoke to him concerning His future: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3
Notice that not at one moment did Abram hesitate concerning what was told to him. So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land. Genesis 12:4-6
Every move that Abram made was his faith in the Lord God’s Word, not even considering the nations that he saw occupying the land. Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. Genesis 12:7-8
Let us review the meaning of “culture”: It is a civilization of a group of people at a given time; it is the development of the mind or body through education and training; it is a behavior that is socially taught. Culture joins people together at their commonalities.
The Ten Commandments developed a culture among the children of Israel. Moses called all the people of Israel together and said, “Listen carefully, Israel. Hear the decrees and regulations I am giving you today, so you may learn them and obey them!
“The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Mount Sinai. The Lord did not make this covenant with our ancestors, but with all of us who are alive today. At the mountain the Lord spoke to you face to face from the heart of the fire. I stood as an intermediary between you and the Lord, for you were afraid of the fire and did not want to approach the mountain. He spoke to me, and I passed His words on to you. This is what He said: “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.
You must not have any other god but Me. You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind, or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject Me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love Me and obey My commands.
You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse His name. Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and other livestock, and any foreigners living among you. All your male and female servants must rest as you do. Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out with His strong hand and powerful arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to rest on the Sabbath day.
Honor your father and mother, as the Lord your God commanded you. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you. You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely against your neighbor. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife. You must not covet your neighbor’s house or land, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor. Deuteronomy 5:1-21 NLT
The Lord God has His own culture and that culture is to be passed on through His Spirit. Keep in mind; the Lord’s commandments reflect His culture through His people. That is why they were given to Moses.
Those who know who you truly are as Kingdom citizens—are aware that the only way to live in this world is by totally putting your faith in King Jesus. Putting your faith in the Lord God’s Son is what pleases Him. Your faith is the key to living a life of victory, while you are here on this earth. Remember, faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we d o not see. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 Faith in the King is the way we as Kingdom citizens are supposed to live. For those of us who believe the Lord God’s Constitution, there is no excuse. Faith drives out worry and fear. In faith, we know in our spirit that no matter how things look at the moment, the Lord God is taking care of “it” and we are safe in His hands. By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. Hebrews 11:31
Remember, your faith in the Lord God has to be put into action. What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:14-17
The culture of the Kingdom is faith, not religious traditions.
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.
