Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay While we are citizens of the Lord God’s Kingdom residing here on earth, our will should be in line with the Will of the King. This requires for us to consistently be reading and studying His Word. The King’s Word is our Kingdom Government Constitution. This is why I place so much emphasis on embracing His Word in your everyday life because it is your life. When Jesus prayed to His Father, He made this statement: Sanctify them by Your Truth. Your Word is Truth. John 17:17
Once you have been born again, as King Jesus told Nicodemus, Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3, you must learn a whole new life from start to finish. It is like moving to a new country and wanting to become a citizen of that country. You must first study and learn about that country. That is why it is so important for us to study His Word—His Kingdom Government Constitution. We have to learn a whole new way of thinking under the guidance of the Governor—Holy Spirit. When we are one with the Father there is no confusion among the citizens. The Governor will lead and guide you into all truth once you have the Holy Spirit residing in you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:17 NLT
Our thoughts should be in line with the King’s Will and thoughts. Having said that, why are there so many Christians whose lives are not in line with the Word of the King? Jesus said, “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the Will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to Me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in Your name and cast out demons in Your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s laws.’
“Anyone who listens to My teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.” Matthew 7:21-24 NLT
While the Lord Jesus was here on earth, not only did He pray for those who were physically with Him, but also for those who would believe in Him in the future. “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:20-23
We must all have the same mind as Christ. This can only be accomplished by the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit, our Kingdom Governor. Remember, those who are in right standing with the King’s Word are those who live according to His Word. The Holy Spirit leads and guides us though His Word. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26
Do you recall what the Lord Jesus said when informed that His mother and brothers were outside, wanting His attention? But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the Will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.” Mark 3:33-35
Keep in mind; the King only recognizes those who keep His Word, as family. But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the Word of God and do it.” Luke 8:21
His Word will stand and live forever but everything else will pass away. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will by no means pass away. Mark 13:31
His Word makes us one with Him. Even in marriage, you and your spouse should be of the same mindset. If you aren’t, there will be division and strife. If there is frequent strife in your marriage, look for the areas where you aren’t of the same mindset. “Becoming one” isn’t only physical as most think, but spiritual, and subsequently, emotional.
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Word of God.
