The Kingdom is Heaven’s government and its constitution contains His commands (laws) and principles for living and conducting one’s self in this three dimensional world. He left us His constitution so that we would know what He requires of us. The Lord God chose Himself a people, through the faith and obedience of Abram, who would love, serve, and worship Him. The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:1-3
Keep in mind; those of us who aren’t Jews were grafted into the Kingdom through our faith in King Jesus. He made that quite clear: For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. John 3:16-18
Before there ever was a “Bible” as we know it, there was His Word, the Word of the King. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. . . And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-2, 14 NKJV His Word was always law. He just allowed mankind to put it down in writing and print. We, being citizens of the Kingdom, should always have the Word of the King written in our hearts (emotions) and minds. We must consistently be reading and studying His Will for our lives. Out of my obedience and experience, I encourage you to embrace ambassador Paul’s words to Timothy: Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the Word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 AMP
Do you recall what ambassador Paul stated when speaking to the brothers at Corinth concerning marriage and circumcision? Each of you should continue to live in whatever situation the Lord has placed you, and remain as you were when God first called you. This is my rule for all the churches. For instance, a man who was circumcised before he became a believer should not try to reverse it. And the man who was uncircumcised when he became a believer should not be circumcised now. For it makes no difference whether or not a man has been circumcised. The important thing is to keep God’s commandments. 1 Corinthians 7:17-19
The only way to stay in line with the Lord God is to know and stay focused on God’s constitution. You may own a library full of various ministries’ books, but you only need to know and obey God’s constitution and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. If you don’t have the Holy Spirit living within your mortal body, you don’t belong to Him. It doesn’t matter how much money you give to the poor or how many times you attend church. If you love me, obey My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:15-17
And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:2-14
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh conveys no benefit [it is of no account]. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life [providing eternal life]. John 6:63 AMP
Read these words by ambassador Paul, while speaking to the Galatian believers. There surely is “nothing new under the sun”. The sin that ravaged believers back then still does today! And the answer is still the same! Obedience to God’s Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit! So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. Galatians 5:16-17
Remember this one thing; the Holy Spirit will always lead you in agreement with the Lord God’s Word. He speaks through His Word. I cannot imagine my life without God's Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit!
You may notice that there is more scripture here than my words, and that is how we all should be. It isn’t about our opinions, thoughts and declarations. They only matter as long as they are in agreement with, and backed up by, the Word of our Lord God.
Remember that your greatest asset is your faith in King Jesus, who is the Word.
