In order for you to be healed in your body and mind, here is what you need to do—put your total trust in Him and His Word. Here is a great example of totally trusting and believing in the King’s Word: So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”
So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household. This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee. John 4:45-54
Please notice that when He informed the nobleman that his son lives, he immediately believed the Lord Jesus words concerning his son. The Lord Jesus knew the level of the man’s faith. King David made this statement: Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3-4
Remember that it is impossible for the Lord God to lie! When the Lord God spoke to Balaam concerning Balak, here are the words He said: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19 When we try to figure out the movements of the Lord God rather than trusting His Word, we miss it. It doesn’t require faith if you already know how it will come to pass. I want you to know that as I write this article, I am learning to totally trust Him. That means putting away the ways I used to think, changing my mindset. It is a process because we have to adjust our old way of thinking and get in line with the Lord God’s constitution.
Feast on the Lord God’s Word every day because it is our strength and faith builder. Our faith in the King should never be based on our religion but in obeying His Word. It is the only solid foundation to build on! Do you recall what the Lord Jesus said to the woman who spoke a blessing over His earthly mother? And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”
But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:27-28 Ambassador Paul made it plain: For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
Keep in mind, walking by faith is trusting and acting upon His Word, no matter how circumstances look, just because the King said it. Faith is believing it is already done and thinking and acting accordingly. That kind of faith will bring peace into your life through every situation and trial. We must learn to depend on His Word, for our inward man will live on forever. Ambassador Paul stated it this way: Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Please note: As ambassador Paul stated in verse 18, the things that aren’t seen are eternal and the things that are seen are temporary. Yes, mankind has it backwards, worrying and fretting over things that are temporary rather than the eternal things!
Remember, your greatest asset in the Kingdom of God is your faith in His Word.
