And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.’ Matthew 13:11-15
Understand that the world does not see or understand the Kingdom of God. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:1-3
Keep in mind; while the signs and evidences of the Kingdom of God are visible, the Kingdom itself is spiritual and invisible. King Jesus made that very clear when answering the religious Pharisees. Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21
When you receive the Spirit of the Lord God, you are born from above. It isn’t a process of you joining a religious institution we call a church. It isn’t about membership, but citizenship. Remember, you are born in a heavenly realm; it has nothing to do with mankind. That birth gives you a new consciousness and a new perception that is not possessed by those who are outside the Lord God’s Kingdom.
To SEE the Kingdom, you must first be SEEKING the Kingdom.
That is why many people who attend churches or are members of a denomination of some kind cannot accept the Kingdom concept. They cannot see it and are not born again by the Holy Spirit. The ability to perceive spiritual things is not given to those who struggle in their own strength or because they earn it. It is by spiritual birth. It is our birthright. So if you have been born by the Spirit, you have a new set of senses that enable you to detect the unseen things of the Kingdom. You see with spiritual eyes by the power of the Holy Spirit, our Kingdom Governor…if you will listen and see. Ambassador Paul put it clearly: Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Without the Governor—the Holy Spirit—in your life, you are only another religious person trying to do this in their own strength and knowledge. But when the Father sends the Advocate as My representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26 NLT
It is through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—that we see the Kingdom of God and all the benefits of being His citizens! It is not us, but the power of the Holy Spirit working within us that allow us to operate in God’s Kingdom.
Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. Matthew 13:16-17
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.
