Is that a question you have ever asked yourself? Well allow me to make the answer very clear: All religion is real and all religion is man-made.
At NO time did the Lord Jesus ever declare that a new religion was at hand. The one who introduced the King made this statement: In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” In essence, John was in line with the King. As I stated earlier, all religion is man-made. The only difference is that Christianity used the Lord God's Constitution as its principles and laws and call it the Bible. Even the word Bible came from a religious order, taken from a Latin and a Greek word biblia (books) which came from Byblos, ancient city in Phoenicia from which the Greeks imported papyrus (which was used as ancient paper). The Lord Jesus made several statements concerning His Constitution:
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Notice He never once referred to the Lord God's Constitution as the Bible. He called them commandments. The word bible comes from a religious mindset. The Lord Jesus' mindset was all about His Father's Kingdom. He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.” He never deviated from His assignment.
Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him. When He sent His disciples out to represent Him, He emphasized that they should preach the Kingdom message; certainly not prosperity or how to be blessed. Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Even when He fed the five thousand, He was focused on His Father's message. And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
Notice that wherever He preached the Kingdom, healing and deliverance was there. Even when He sent out His disciples to represent Him, healing and deliverance accompanied them. At no time did they stray from His message. These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
There are times when I write these messages on the Kingdom, when many refuse to listen or understand. But my King told me what to do. Don't get angry or get into a useless debate. Listen to what He said to those who have embraced the Kingdom message. “Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! We aren't to force the Kingdom message down anyone's throat, but to preach and teach it. The Lord Jesus was persistent and consistent with His Father's message.
There are only three times in the New Testament you will see the word Christian.
And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. The people started calling them Christians.
Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.” Where ambassador Paul was speaking with King Agrippa. At that time the name Christian was catching on.
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. At that time everyone who was associated with the Kingdom had embraced the name, but that wasn't who they were. Only the King and His Word should say who you are.
Remember these words from me. If you allow anyone to name you, THEY will define you.
