Obeying His Word in this three dimensional world is the key to living a victorious life. In doing so, the Son will speak to the Father on our behalf and He will give us the Comforter—meaning the Holy Spirit. I call Him the Governor because He governs our actions. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17
When we put all our faith in the Lord Jesus and trust in Him and walk according to His Word, we belong to Him. By the way, in the Lord God’s constitution, the writer of Hebrews tells us: Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And My righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” Hebrews 10:36-37 NLT
Keep in mind, living by faith in His Word is the life of every Kingdom citizen. It is definitely mine! But it is a growth process. Our faith will only grow by being full of God’s Word. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17 His Word detoxed me from my old nature and the way I did things in that old life. Do you recall what the Lord Jesus stated? “I am the true grapevine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.” John 15:1-3 NLT
One of our priorities is to always stay connected to the King. His Word purifies us. This is why it is vital to stay in His Word, reading and studying it. Once you see His Word as your nourishment, your strength and your lifeline, your faith will be your unshakable foundation. It gives you victory over EVERY thing that is not like Him!
Please note: When you surrender your life to the King and leave all to follow Him, He promised us eternal life. That alone should encourage you; it does me! And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for My sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life. But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then. Matthew 19:29-30 NLT
Focus Point: The more you read and study His constitution, the stronger your faith in Him becomes. When a person isn’t able to take in nourishing food, in time their body will show the signs of malnourishment. So it is with a Kingdom citizen who neglects the nourishing food of His Word. Their life will begin to show signs of spiritual malnourishment!
We must learn to detox our old ways by daily “taking in” the nourishment of His Word. Ambassador Paul made this statement: And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s Will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:1-2 NLT
It is very important that our minds be renewed by the Lord God’s constitution because it is food for our spirit man and cleanses us from all unrighteousness and brings us to the standard of our King. Think of this comparison, listening to teaching and preaching may be like your dessert, but reading the Word of God is your meat, potatoes and vegetables.
Living a Kingdom life is all about being connected to the King. King Jesus gave this example: Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:4-7 Now, notice the very next verse: By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:8 He said “that the Lord God will be glorified”. Not that you or I would be glorified but the Lord God! In essence, we should live in such a way that the Father God will get all the glory from our lives.
Once again, always remember that your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.
