There are many leaders who are called but fail to obey and allow His Constitution (His Word) to be their lifestyle. Jesus speaks of this in this parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.
“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Now, notice this statement. "The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy" The reason they weren't worthy was because they failed to embrace His Word. They treated His Word lightly. Sadly, many who call themselves Christians attend religious services because of the music, dancers and to feel good. The preacher speaks about everything except the Kingdom, most of which are religious-based messages, based on their doctrine. They don't take the Kingdom seriously. They see Kingdom is a word that refers to the "sweet by and by". But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. It is the same in today's world. They put business--and entertainment--before the Lord God; not thinking that this world is only temporary. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Keep in mind, the king who arranged for the wedding invited them. He didn't force them to come. It was an invitation. ...and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. "They weren't willing to come" Now what can be so important that you can't stop what you are doing, and learn the Kingdom way of living? Remember, He created heaven and earth. He didn't create religion. Mankind made religion and rejected the Kingdom.
Look back into history of the religion of Christianity. For example, during the Saxon wars, many people were killed because they refused to convert to the Roman Catholic religion. They weren't given a choice. The free will God granted them was taken from them. In the Kingdom, there is only one alliance. That is to the Lord God and His Son and They are One. Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. All authority has been given to His Son. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. He made that perfectly clear.
