While here on this earth, King Jesus also made this statement: And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. That statement occurred while He was speaking concerning the last days before His return. “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. Did you notice that the King compared Kingdom citizens to sheep among wolves? Sheep don't fight back or get even. Then He instructed us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Can you think of believers who fit those descriptions? Many are eager to fight for their "rights" in this world system. Many so-called Christians are anything but harmless and definitely not wise. They may not maim with guns, but with their words. Those of us who have a Kingdom mindset consult the Lord God's Constitution in every situation and wait on His answer.
Remember what the King said while He was here on earth. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Once again He stated "the Gospel of the Kingdom" not "the Gospel of Christianity". Keep in mind that Christianity is a man-made religion which has embraced some of the Kingdom principles. It accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but is a religion where traditions and customs rule. The Kingdom of God or Heaven is about government, where the Lord Jesus is King. It is about government, citizens and most of all its King.
In Revelation, the Lord Jesus showed John visions while he was in solitude on the Island, Patmos. Here are just some of the things He promised us through ambassador John. Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. I trust in His Word and promises.
That is why I don't sweat the small stuff. But first we must endure to the end. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. Now to those who are ashamed of Him and His principles and who lack the backbone to stand firm: But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Our great reward is eternal life with our King. At the end of this life, we should be able to say, as Paul did: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
And we will want to hear is, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord."
Remember, in the Kingdom, your greatest asset is your faith in the King.
