Keep this thought in mind; righteousness is not only personal, but also formed into a unified body of people, meaning a corporation. The word corporation doesn’t only refer to a legal business. It is also defined as a group of people authorized to act as a single entity. But there is no corporate righteousness without personal righteousness. It takes righteous individuals to create a righteous government and diligence on their part to maintain the government righteousness. Just take a look at Israel. The people of Israel had to agree to the law of Moses. Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you. You shall not add to the Word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:1-2
Every law enacted and order passed should be measured against and brought into alignment with the standard of the Lord God’s Word. When we live under our own standards and beliefs, ignoring God’s laws and His Will, we do not even see the fullness of the Kingdom of God. We act as if what we believe and what parts of His Word we “choose” to follow is ok with the Father. We don’t even see all that we are missing while living in our little kingdom. In my old life, I never thought that I would live to get to the age that I am today. In fact I never gave it any thought. It was when the governor gave me my wife Arlene that I began to fulfill my purpose and assignment. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1:1-6
Know also, that there are times when you are seeking His righteousness, that you may feel all along and be alone. This is because many people do not know what it means to be righteous. They pursue “happiness” rather than righteousness. They seek relationships to find “happiness”. But the happiness they seek after, is only temporary, merely a “vapor” that quickly fades. It is only by seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness that we will find contentment and joy and a deep sense of satisfaction! You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
Some think attending a church makes them righteous. But this is only because they are not aware of God’s Kingdom government. If it were only another religion, church attendance might make them righteous in the eyes of their fellow members. But a government has laws and to be in right standing—righteous—with that government, their laws must be followed! This is a Kingdom mindset. This is also why we do not need to be focused on what is going on in this present world. Churches shouldn’t spend more time preaching about this world than what King Jesus taught and spoke of. We must allow the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us through this life. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14:15-18
Keeping His laws and commands are key to being righteous in every way. Keeping His laws and commands causes the Governor to come into your life. This is what is meant when King Jesus stated that His Father would send the Helper. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. John 14:16 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. John 16:7-8 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:13-15
I love His Word!
We must be alert, vigilant, engaged and even militant in pressing in for righteousness at a corporate and national level. What I mean by this is to make it known through your lifestyle, the way you handle business matters, the way you interact with others and most of all, the way you see yourself compared to His Word. Otherwise, you risk bringing judgment of the Lord God down on your nation. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but He loves him who follows righteousness. Proverbs 15:8-9
Please notice that the Lord God detests the ways of the wicked. He loves wicked people, but he hates their wicked behavior. Remember that all of us at one time or another were wicked in the Lord God’s sight until we were transformed through the blood of Christ, brought into right standing with the Lord God and made citizens of His Kingdom. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me. I was also blameless before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. Therefore the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight. Psalm 18:20-24
I will close with ambassador Paul's words:
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit (our Kingdom Governor) renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:21-24 NLT
Remember, your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.
