Let’s examine some constitutional principles. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 11:4 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12 Do you want a long life? Well then, live for righteousness. Please don’t live for wealth. Wealth is temporary. The pursuit of righteousness may bring wealth your way, but it is a by-product.
Please note: Living for God’s Kingdom righteousness will deliver you from the death of your marriage, the death of your business, the death of your finances and the death of your health. Death is not only our physical death. Righteousness is its own reward. We must stay in line with the Lord God’s Word. The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright, but the wicked will fall by his own wickedness. Proverbs 11:5 To those who think it is not possible to live our lives in line with God’s Word, it is possible through the power of God and the guidance of our Governor, the Holy Spirit! I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] Philippians 4:13 AMP
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:9-14
Keep in mind that the word blameless means clean living that is above reproach. You are honest with all your dealings with others, even when there is no one there to see. You seek to be obedient to the Lord God every minute of the day. Righteousness will clear the path ahead of you so that nothing will stand between you and full, abundant living. Remember that if righteousness is its own reward, then wickedness is its own curse. The wicked may seem to prosper for a time, but eventually their own wickedness will destroy them. Read what King Solomon stated in the Constitution. But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the unfaithful will be caught by their lust. Proverbs 11:6 See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. . . I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. Deuteronomy 30:15-16, 19
I must say, that righteousness is the true freedom in the Kingdom. It is freedom to live as the Lord God meant for you to live. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. Romans 6:15-19
I am at an age where I never thought I would be. My wife and I are living in the Lord God’s righteousness and His protection. Unrighteousness is bondage that will shackle you to your lust and desires. There was a time in our lives when we could not imagine living in His righteousness, but with God ALL things are possible! Read what King Solomon stated in the book of Proverbs: In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. Proverbs 12:28
When you are in line with the Lord God’s Word, you cannot die. I am not speaking of the body that is made of clay, but our eternal spirit. True death is separation from God. Remember that you shall receive a new body. For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies. While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life. God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 5:1-5 NLT
Remember, alignment with the Lord God’s Word places you under His protection. Living with integrity—doing what is righteous even when no one is watching—will build you a good reputation that will hold you in good standing with the King. Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless, but wickedness overthrows the sinner. Proverbs 13:6
Believe me when I tell you; I’d rather be right in the sight of the Lord God than be right with the world. God’s Constitution boldly tells us this: Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4 Keep in mind that the world as a whole opposes the Lord God and everything He stands for. That is why we must boldly and consistently tell about the Kingdom of God. We are His Kingdom light shining in this world’s darkness! “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
For now, I will close with these words from our Lord and King Jesus: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle (the smallest parts of letters and the minutiae of the Law) will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-20
Remember, your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.
