The closer you align yourself with His Word, the more you will discover your purpose and assignment for your life. By doing this you won't lose focus and become entangled in some other person's cause that isn't your own. When the Lord has a purpose and an assignment for your life, He will guide and protect you, even while you are being disobedient and in a world of sin and darkness, at least for a season. That's God's mercy. I am a living example of that very situation. Thank the Lord I am able to confess this. Another person who is a great example of this is the ambassador Paul. But first allow me to share with you some of the trials, challenges and disobedience of my early life.
Early in my mother's marriage, a doctor informed her that she would never have children. My mother prayed and eight years later, to her doctor's surprise, I was conceived. When I was born I almost died and was kept in an oxygen tent until I improved and could go home. When I was two years old, I fell in a dry well. Twice the enemy attempted to destroy me, but my mother prayed to the Father to bless her with one son and eight years later He did. She told the Lord if He did, she would dedicate that son back to Him, and so she did! Let me be very clear...The Lord has brought me from a mighty long way! It was not by any goodness of my own. It is just because He has His hands on me for a purpose and an assignment. By the way, my mother raised and trained me without a father. She did it on the principles of the Lord God Constitution. Little did I think I would become a writer and teacher of the Kingdom Gospel. There are many things that have taken place in my life. Before I knew my purpose, many of those things were bad and not of God at all. But when you know your purpose, perseverance and faith are key factors to advance in that purpose. Ambassador Paul wrote this to the Roman believers: Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. NKJV
The Lord gave me this assignment and this scripture, But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you and it has been with me ever since I was 18 years of age. Now ambassador Paul was an enemy of the Kingdom at one time as well, but the Lord had ordained him to be an ambassador of His Kingdom, to bring the message to the Gentiles. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”
“Who are you, lord?” Saul asked.
And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”...He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink.
Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, “Ananias!”
“Yes, Lord!” he replied.
The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.”
“But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias, “I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem! And he is authorized by the leading priests to arrest everyone who calls upon your name.”
But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
Keep in mind, when the Lord gives you your assignment and purpose, He will see you through to the end. Nothing and no one will ever be able to stop you until your assignment is complete.
Your faith in the King is your greatest asset in the Kingdom!
