Has Man Lost His Authority?
The Father God created man to rule the earth from the very beginning. It is only when Adam failed to obey the Father's command that he lost authority over the other creatures and over the earth. The Father God created man to take charge over the things He had made.
Human kind are the way we are because of not following God's instructions to the letter. All Adam had to do was to follow God's instructions. If Adam had embraced his leadership role and not allowed his wife to advise him to disobey God's specific instructions, we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
Take a moment to visit Genesis 1:26 and you will see the authority that Adam was created with.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
For those who have any doubt that Christ (the Word) was there from the beginning-- "OUR image" You can also read it in the book of John 1:1-3:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made."
This scripture was taken from the New King James version. Keep this in mind: "Word with God" means an actual face-to-face with His Father-- A real serious relationship. This is the kind of relationship that we, meaning men, should have with our earthly father. Unfortunately the sin of disobedience destroyed that. Sin distorted man's concept of what a real father is supposed to be.
Think about this: All Adam had to do was obey his Creator, but he decided to listen to the creation-- his wife Eve, who decided to listen and take advise from the devil in the form of a serpent. Keep this in mind.... Eve was deceived by the devil as well as being disobedient to God the Creator and Father. Adam in turn was disobedient to his Creator. God the Father left Adam in charge. All he had to do was obey his Creator's command. Doesn't humanity have the same problem today? It is very simple....All He wants is our obedience. Obey... and watch what God can do with you and through you!
