Kingdom 104: Where Are the Masculine-Thinking Men? Pt 1
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
That is a very serious question. In this country—the United States of America—men are being emasculated by way of their thinking. The word emasculate means 1) to remove the testicles of; to castrate; to gild 2) To deprive of vigor, effectiveness, etc. Now, allow me to share with you the meaning of the word masculine: as an adjective it pertains to the characteristic of a man or men (such as a masculine attire) 2) Having qualities traditionally ascribed to the male or men, as strength and boldness.
Keep in mind God’s original plan for man concerning planet earth. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. It was then that Adam had the roll of leadership. God’s plan is eternal and unchanging. That is why the Lord God sent His only Son. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Men and women were created to be different. Each with their own characteristics and purposes. Each necessary to fulfill God's purpose using our strengths and gifts. There is order in everything God does. However, there is a demonic spirit that many call a Jezebel spirit, set to disrupt that order. The Jezebel spirit is a controlling, manipulative, emasculating, man-hating spirit. This spirit is stripping man of his masculinity.
Allow me to share a little about the woman in the Bible for which this demonic spirit is named. Jezebel was the wife of a weak man, Ahab, who was the King of Judah. That made her a queen. She was the daughter of Ethbaal, the King of the Sidonians, who proved himself to be a powerful and wise king. This woman was a very wicked person. Jezebel brought her religious mindset and practices with her from her homeland and transplanted it into the willing hearts of God’s people of promise (the Israelites). In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri became king over Israel; and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years. Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD, more than all who were before him. And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him. Note that the king of Israel continued to lead the people of Israel in rebellion of God’s principles and laws. They adapted the worship of the Phoenician gods, which are not gods. Jezebel was known for her controlling of men and sorcery. Now it happened, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” So he answered, “What peace, as long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?” Jezebel was so wicked that the Lord Jesus used her as a symbol of immorality while speaking to John on the island of Patmos. Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
Jezebel is an example of all that is evil in a controlling woman (but can also be manifest in a man). Her name is symbolic with a wife given over to unholy practices. Just take a look around you. Society looks up to women in Hollywood and the entertainment industry who, as women, are embracing the masculine role and portray themselves as being just as strong as men; often displaying a more masculine mindset and behavior than their male counterparts.
In the United States, this spirit of Jezebel has emasculated the man. It is often difficult to differentiate from a male or female—in both appearance and behavior; especially when they open their mouths to speak. This has come about because mankind has rejected the Lord God, His Son and His Word. Men have rejected their roles as leaders, protectors and providers and abdicated that role to the woman. The ambassador Paul states it like this: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Always remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ. It is only through that faith that you can withstand evil in this present day.
