Kingdom 104: Being Misrepresented

Being misrepresented is a case of being misdirected. That is exactly what Satan tried to do with the Lord Jesus while He was here on earth. The devil gave Him several directions in which He should go, but the King knew His purpose for being here. Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
The Lord Jesus stayed focused on His Father's command. He always referred back to God's Word so He could not be misdirected. He was obedient to the end of His mission.
The religious community around this world misrepresents the King and His Kingdom every day, especially on religious holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Lent. Those religious days have become days of celebration and worship around the world. They have become mixed with worldly traditions that have nothing to do with the Kingdom of God. They are a distraction, a misdirection from the gospel of the Kingdom. King Jesus never gave in to religious days or gave allegiance to them. He even made this statement concerning the Sabbath: And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” It doesn't get any more plain than that. Yet there are some religions that worship and glorify the Sabbath. The Sabbath was set aside for mankind to rest after his long week of working. Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done...Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female servant and the stranger may be refreshed. There are no other allegiances in the Kingdom but to the King. Kingdom citizens don't worship or honor any manmade holy days set up by mankind outside of God's Constitution (the Bible).
Most religions are represented by a symbol, but in the Kingdom, the Lord Jesus made this statement of how His people would be recognized: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”... This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. So then, the symbol of a Kingdom citizen should be love. This wasn't a suggestion, but a command! Religious people sometimes wear crosses around their necks and the 'fish' symbol on their cars. A Kingdom citizen is filled with love for all mankind, because he is the image of the almighty God. Jesus didn't say try to love, He stated "love one another". These things I command you, that you love one another. But you have a choice. Only by the leading of the Holy Spirit (the Governor) can you do it.
When you are led by the Governor, it is impossible for you to be misdirected or to misrepresent the Kingdom. Stay in His Word and you can not go wrong. If you truly love the Lord Christ, you will have no problem obeying His command. The Lord Jesus made it very plain when He was here on earth: Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
Always remember, in the Kingdom, your faith in King Jesus is your greatest asset. His Word is your foundation.
