Kingdom 104: Being Deceived From Your True Identity Pt 2
Adam was disobedient, Eve was deceived by the serpent. Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Notice that the evil one had this conversation only with Eve. That conversation was an act of rebellion against the King and Creator. The evil one appealed to her emotional state. Have you noticed any similarities? Women usually make decisions based on their feelings, their emotions. "I feel that connection." or "It feels right." Can you think of other examples where decisions are made and the reason starts with "I feel...it feels...it doesn't feel"? Those are decisions based on emotions and not any solid foundation. Christians often use the same terms: "I feel led to do this." without first referring to God's Constitution. The Holy Spirit will not direct you to do anything that is contrary to His Word. Kingdom citizens always refer back to God's Constitution for confirmation.
The reason we are having this conversation is because Adam (the man) failed to take his role as leader over his family. Keep in mind, the reason most husbands and fathers aren't in their homes is because the evil one (the devil) has kept them busy with distractions. Some of the distractions are drugs, alcohol, money, sex, being obsessed with work and--here's a big one--entertainment as misplaced priorities. That has created a vacuum in the Lord God's original plan. The Lord God original plan hasn't changed because the world has changed. He sent His Son to restore mankind back to His original position. By the way, this will only take place when you are filled with the Holy Spirit (the Governor). That is the government of the Kingdom, living in you.
This is what we should do. Embrace your manhood if you are a male, and women, embrace your womanhood, for that is who the Lord God created you to be. Anything else is a deception and an abomination before the Lord God. God does not make mistakes. You are not a mistake. If you think that in any way, you are deceived. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. This also applies to a woman lying with a woman as if she was with a man. Never go with your momentary feelings. Feelings change, but God's Word is eternal and unchanging. Before you make a decision based on emotions, check God's Word. That is the Kingdom citizen's foundation for eternity.
So many men and women are driven by their emotions. They are deceived concerning how they feel about another person. Feelings come and go. A decision made in one moment's emotions may create a life of regret. This is one of the main reasons that men and women choose the wrong husband or wife to be their "life partner", which often turns into a "seasonal partner". They are overcome with emotions or lust which they interpret as love. They are being self-deceived. Deception is an illusion that has led so many men and women astray for centuries. Affairs have been created, marriages destroyed, lives ruined, lives ended all on an emotion. Decisions made without knowing your true identity in Jesus the Christ, will be a wrong decision, most likely made based on emotion.
As men of the Kingdom, you should ask the Lord to guide you in your search for a wife with whom you will share your life. It was only when I started seeking the Kingdom that the Lord God showed me the type of partner I should have. I said showed me, not made me. God directs, we decide, because He gives us free will to choose right or wrong. Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord. Yes, you have free will, but if you wait on the Lord, He will grant you the desires of your heart.
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Believing in God in not enough. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!... Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
