Kingdom 103: Your Goals, His Purpose and Then What?

If your goals don't measure up with the Will of God for your life, you are missing His purpose for you. Your time here on earth should be spent living a life that is effective, to draw others to seek the Kingdom. It should never be for the purpose of entertaining others. Your life should point them to the Kingdom of God. The key to your purpose is to allow the Holy Spirit (the Governor) to direct your path. That is why He was sent to this earth.
If you are anxious and full of concern about your next meal, job or even finding a new job, take a few moments to read what the King stated concerning our needs. Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Remember to live effectively, you must put your trust and hope in the Word of the living God; in other words, in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Word made flesh. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Your life should be engulfed in the Word of God. It should "ooze" out of you in every situation, especially when you are being squeezed by life's challenges. Then you will discover your true purpose for your life. Then and only then will your goals line up with His purpose for you. Once you are filled with His Word, He will give you the Governor(Holy Spirit) to guide you. By the way, the Governor is given only to those who embrace His culture (His Word) as their own standard for living. If you do not have the Holy Spirit, you are just a member of a religion called Christianity. To be a citizen of the Kingdom, you must have the Holy Spirit residing in your mortal body. Jesus made it very plain how to get into the Kingdom: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. There are many who claim they know God, but fail to get acquainted with the Son. Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. This was in response to Philip's question. Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
There is a reason Jesus told His disciples to wait for the Governor (the Holy Spirit) before they were to go anywhere to spread the Kingdom message. They needed His DNA. That is when you are truly "Born Again". That gives you power and authority from the King. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Keep in mind, your faith in His Word--the Lord Jesus Christ--will unlock many doors that were closed to you. Remember it is your faith in His Word that causes you to operate effectively in the Kingdom. By the way, obedience is vital also. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Again I say, your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ is your greatest asset.
