Kingdom 103: Your Faith is Essential in the Kingdom
Your faith becomes a vital part of the Kingdom. In fact, you cannot even get the Lord God's attention without having faith in His Son. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ is your most valuable commodity in the Kingdom. I will even go as far as to state that if and when you truly embrace the Kingdom concept and its message, you will cease to be concerned with this world system. Jesus made this statement while here on this earth: Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Let's focus for a moment on the word essential. The root word of essential is essence. It is its very basic invariable nature, without which it wouldn't be what it is; intrinsic. For example, water could not be water without oxygen. The very basic element water is two parts oxygen, one part hydrogen. So also, the Kingdom cannot live in you without your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ--"the Word made flesh". And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Essence, the most fundamental nature and most important quality!
Those of us who are Kingdom citizens give no thought for our physical body in terms of what man can do to us. That is because the Lord has given us His Holy Spirit (the Governor). We trust and put our faith in His promises and His Holy Word. He will never go back on His Word. Remember these words from God's Constitution: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Keep this also in mind, if you truly have faith in the Lord Jesus, it will be clearly seen in your daily life. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
This is what makes those who are filled with the Spirit dangerous to the enemy, because they act upon what they believe. Their life is full of righteousness (the Word) and their everyday behavior proves it. In this world, to develop the kind of faith it takes to please the Lord God, we must first detox all of the old junk that we have learned. We start by saturating our mind and thoughts with the Word of God. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
The ambassador Paul made it plain: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Seeking the Kingdom, while avoiding these religious customs and selfish ambitions, is at times an uphill challenge; but there are great rewards for those who stay focused on the prize.
Remember, your greatest commodity is your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ. He is your foundation in this life.
