Kingdom 103: What Gospel Are You Preaching?
That is the question everyone should be asking. Are you preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom? Or, are you preaching on the Lord Jesus? If you aren't preaching and teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, then your message doesn't line up with the Lord Jesus' message. That makes you disobedient. He didn't come preaching about himself. His cousin, John the Baptist, was on the same page. In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
If the Kingdom of Heaven is so full of promise, power and provision, why aren't more people around the world rushing to get in? Wouldn't you think that everyone wants to know that they have power in life? Power to overcome the tragedies of life as well as discovering the ability to rise up and meet the challenges confronting us every day. We all long to know that our lives have meaning, purpose and hope.
The key reason that the troubles of this world doesn't strike fear in those of us who have embraced the Kingdom concept and have a Kingdom mindset, is because we stay focused on His promise and have faith in His Word. The Lord Jesus never allowed outside influences to deter Him from His purpose. Please note, everyone wants to discover his or her destiny and the power to allow their dreams to come true. The Gospel of the Kingdom promises all of this and more; yet the vast majority of the world's people have not discovered it, much less embraced it. If you want good things to happen in your life, you must first get your priorities in order. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Too many have not heard the message of the Kingdom. Their minds have been blinded so they cannot see the Kingdom by people who have been preaching a gospel which isn't the gospel Jesus preached. The ambassador stated it crystal clear: I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. I have dedicated my life to preaching what my Lord and King came to restore. (the Kingdom and His message). Please note: just because an individual is a famous religious leader doesn't make them right. Many religious leaders are preaching "their" message. The Lord Jesus came the power of one message "The Kingdom of God". In His message, He stated "repent" or "turn around". That message was so important that He stayed an extra forty days on earth after He had risen. The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
Now, my final question is--What Gospel are you preaching and teaching?
3:1-2; 6:33 Galatians 1:6-7 Acts 1:1-3
