Kingdom 103: Persistent and Consistent!

What does it mean to be persistent? It is to refuse to relent; continuing on in the face of opposition or interference; it is being stubborn; persevering; 2) It is continuing to exist or endure; to last without change 3) it is also constantly repeating; continued 4) Remaining permanently or for a longer than normal time.
Having stated that, I will encourage you to stay vigilant and focused on the Kingdom message, for this is the will of the Lord and King Jesus the Christ. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. In order for you to become effective in the Kingdom, you must be consistent. What does it mean to be consistent? It means to hold firm; solid; doing the same thing over and over; steady; It means one who is holding always to the same principles or practices; dependable. Please take the time to read and study the four Gospels. You will discover that both John the Baptist and His cousin were persistent and consistent in preaching the same Gospel of the Kingdom. Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” So the people asked him, saying, “What shall we do then?”
He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?”
And he said to them, “Collect no more than what is appointed for you.” Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages.” Of course, we know that John the Baptist's cousin was Jesus. The Lord Jesus made that same statement concerning the religious leaders. “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” The tone of His message is the same. They were consistent in preaching the Word of the Kingdom government. We as representatives of the Kingdom should be right in line with the Kingdom teaching.
When you think of being persistent and consistent; think of a bloodhound. Once a bloodhound catches the scent, he will not be distracted or stopped. They are totally focused on catching up to that scent. They have a purpose that will not be stopped.
Another citizen of the Kingdom by the name Saul, whose name was changed to Paul, was consistent and persistent from the time the Lord Jesus gave him his assignment. Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. Then all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”
But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ. By the way, all the Lord Jesus did was to change Paul's direction. His passion was still intact. The ambassador Paul had found his true purpose and assignment. He was obedient to the vision of the Lord Jesus. This caused him to be persistent as well as consistent in his message and his behavior.
When a person is persistent and consistent, it is a sure sign that they truly believe in what they are preaching, teaching and spreading everywhere they go. Focus on the Kingdom message and never deviate from it!
