Kingdom 103: On What Foundation Does Your Faith Stand?
I hear many Christians use the term "my faith". My question to that is, what faith are they speaking of? Faith in their religion? Faith in their denomination or pastor? Faith in their country...their family....themselves? I have also heard the phrase, "I have my faith in the Cross of Christ". Are you aware that being hung on the cross was considered a curse? The apostle and ambassador Paul put it this way: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. The Lord Jesus permitted that to be done to Him so that we could be restored back to the Kingdom in good standing with our Creator and Source. It was all about having the faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ, who is the Son of the living God!
Now I ask you, in what or whom do you place your faith? Believe in the Lord Jesus and your life will affect others faith in Him. Learn how to Him at His Word. Learn how to be a great follower of His Word. Focus on His lifestyle while the King was on this earth. For example, the woman who had continuous bleeding was focused on the Lord Jesus for her healing. Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”
When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord Jesus (the Word of God).
We live in a world of many distractions and chaos, but those of us who have embraced the Kingdom must remember we are filled with His Holy Spirit. Greater is He that is in us than he who is in this world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. You must learn to lean and trust God's Constitution, because His Word is sovereign. Remember, the Lord God always keeps His promise. For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. It is impossible for God to lie. Even is He said something we know to be untrue, it would be true because God spoke it! God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? The ambassador Paul encourages in his letter to Titus that the Lord God does not lie. ...in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.
As I write this to you, I must end with this: If you truly believe and allow your faith to stand on His Word, You will have eternal life. ...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Your greatest asset in your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ. Build your foundation on the Word!
