Kingdom 103: Living in the Kingdom Culture
Whatever the Lord Jesus did, it was according to His culture (Kingdom culture). His culture was so powerful, the woman with the issue of blood only needed to touch His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” It was her faith in the Lord Jesus, not her religious beliefs. We must put aside all these customs and traditions and embrace obedience to God's Word of the living God. This woman truly believed in the Lord Jesus because she thought "if I just touch His clothes, I will be healed". All of this occurred because of who He was, and the culture He came from--the Kingdom Culture. The very moment she believed, she was healed of her condition. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. Believing in the Lord Jesus is to believe in His culture and all it's benefits.
When the Lord Jesus raised the girl from sleeping (death), He only took with Him into the house, Peter, James and John the brother of James. There was a reason for this...their faith in Him. Among all of His disciples, those three were closest to Him. It was because of their faith in Him. Jesus even took them with Him when He was transfigured. Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them. And Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. As you grown in your faith in Him, He will reveal to you revelation knowledge of His will for your life. But know this, it is an ongoing process. It won't happen overnight. As I have said before, after He was risen from the dead, He made it a point to stay another forty days to teach them concerning His culture, teaching them concerning the Kingdom. The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. It was in that meeting where He told them not to leave Jerusalem until they received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is very important for all citizens of the Kingdom. For it is the power of God, living in your mortal body. If you are to follow the Lord Christ, you must learn how to be obedient and follow His teaching of the Kingdom, not your own religious theory. That is why Jesus said, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
Once you have embraced the Kingdom concept, you will develop a Kingdom mindset. With a Kingdom mindset the Kingdom culture will begin to resonate in your life. Everywhere you go, Kingdom will emanate from you, even as your cologne fills the room you enter. Remember, obeying God's Word is the key! Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me... If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Always remember, Your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord God's Son. So then, you greatest liability is your doubt!
