Kingdom 103: Kingdom Citizens Are Examples

What kind of example are you? Where does your character and lifestyle lead those with which you interact?
Ambassador Paul made this statement to ambassador Timothy concerning the believer's faith: If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach. This was about preserving the teaching of the Kingdom through sound doctrine and modeling right behavior.
One of the key reasons many people fail to embrace the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is that many of those people fail to embrace the Lord God's principles and laws. They would rather attend a religious institution they call a church and continue to live their lives as they choose. Many who call themselves christians also embrace their earthly culture and traditions, especially in terms of what they eat or drink; which is contrary to God's Constitution. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Keep in mind, Kingdom Citizens aren't religious people at all. They realize that they are Kingdom government representatives. In other words, Kingdom citizens. Ambassador Paul even instructed the young people of his day: Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. This is why my wife Arlene and I stay focused on the Lord God's Word. It is food and nourishment for our spirit. For it is His Word that gives us healing and life. Be aware that the King's Word will clean up your life. How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. By embracing the Word of God (learning to live by it) it will most definitely change your life and allow you to be a living example, just as it has done for Arlene and me.
The Word of the Lord God should be your daily reading, not someone else's published reading material. They are fine as supplemental reading, but your focus and top reading priority is God's Constitution. The Word of God should always be your source of encouragement and strength. It is your Truth meter! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to Your word... my soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to Your word...So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in Your word...This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life. As Paul did, I have determined: For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We were created for the very purpose to encourage others to come to the king, with the promise of eternity, the Lord Jesus made this statement: And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Read what the disciple Peter said: And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
What made Peter convinced that the Lord Jesus was the worthy one who had eternal life? Peter followed and watched His lifestyle and behavior. Keep in mind, Peter had to be taught the Kingdom concept and its message. For over three years, the Lord Jesus was teaching and showing His disciples how the Kingdom operated. Remember what ambassador Paul said: So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.... knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. Remember, your faith must have an object and that object is the King, Jesus the Christ. Always study and read His constitution and it will cause you to become the greatest example of the Kingdom. Be an example people want to follow and lead them to Kingdom living!
