Kingdom 103: He Came Under the Cloak of Darkness
There was a man, a highly respected Jewish leader, who came to the Lord Jesus by seeking the Kingdom. King Jesus gave him the answer that he must receive the new birth. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
There was a rich young ruler who came seeking the Kingdom with a question: What do I do to inherit eternal life? Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”
And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”
Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” He had money, but he was missing something in his life. Did you notice Jesus' answer?
There was another person seeking the Kingdom. A Samaritan woman who had been through five husbands didn't even know that she was looking for the Kingdom until she met King Jesus while drawing water from a well outside her village. There Jesus told her of "living water" that He could give her that would satisfy her thirst forever and become "a spring of water welling up to eternal life".
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” That was the greatest conversation, one that changed her life. All that this woman had ever done was washed away in one conversation. The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”
Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.”
Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”... Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Regardless of what your disobedience has been in the past, once you accept His new birth, He will clear your slate. Never look back. Go forward, reading and studying His Word, getting to know His Will for your life. By the way, His Will is your purpose for living while you are on planet earth, and you will answer to Him. Please note, people everywhere are looking for the Kingdom, even if they don't recognize it by that name. Most fall into the pit of a religious mindset. That is why the harvest is ready. All they need is for someone to show them the way. I truly thank the Holy Spirit for leading my wife Arlene and I to create our website and teach the Kingdom from here, so that people around the world can learn of King Jesus' original message that came from His Father! People around the world are embracing the Kingdom and its concept. They are not looking for a religion. They are looking for power. The Kingdom offers power through the Holy Spirit.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
John 3:1-3 Mark 10:17-21 John 4:7-14 John 4: 15-18, 21-24 Acts 1:8
