God Presents, You Choose
So many of us (meaning men) have chosen and dated women who weren't right for us. That is because we chose for reasons that had nothing to do with God's purpose for our life. We weren't in line with the Word of God. Many of us--men--chose the wife that we are with because of her physical features. Let's keep it real, men! You will notice in the Constitution that the true pattern of the Lord God is that He presented the woman to Adam. One may pray or ask the Lord God for a husband or wife, but then wait for Him to present him or her to you. Remember, before Adam had a woman, he had work, a responsibility. Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
It is very important to note that before God presented the woman to Adam, he--Adam--had a responsibility (work). It is vital that before a man chooses a woman that he has a means of support or a business that the woman can assist him in. Remember what the Constitution stated: And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” She was to be a helper, not the sole support. It is essential to note that the Lord God only presented her to Adam (man). He preserved man's power of choice (free will) by simply presenting her to him. Adam made a decision. He chose Eve. In essence, God won't choose your mate for you, for if He did, that would negate your free will and power of choice. In fact, if the Lord God chose your mate for you, He would not only be violating your right to choose, but He would also be taking responsibility for your relationship. Now what do you think about that? In fact, if your marriage failed, the blame could be transferred to the Lord God. My question is this...if God has chosen one person out of so many on this planet, without your knowledge and permission--or the permission of your mate--then why would He not also choose salvation for you? Good question! If the Lord God would violate the free will He decreed us in a temporary earthly relationship, why not in an eternal heavenly relationship with Himself? Our eternal life is far more important than this temporary earthly life. Yet He wants us to choose for ourselves and make the right choice. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Whether or not you use the Word, wisdom and characteristics of His nature to make that choice, you must take responsibility for your choice; and for all the consequences that come with it. It was a long process for me, but I thank the King for His forgiveness of all my offenses and His patience and long-suffering with me until I got a clue. You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
