Kingdom 103: Authorized Power for the Heavenly Government
I love writing and enjoy expressing the Kingdom message through it. That is one of my gifts. I believe that the Lord God gave it to me for that purpose--spreading the Gospel of His Kingdom, not for writing books for a profit. I also realize that any authority that I receive from the Holy Spirit (the Governor) is for the service of spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom. Even when Arlene and I take a well-needed vacation, we both take our laptops so that we can publish the Kingdom message. This is what we live for, being obedient to the King. The offerings we receive, are to keep this message going, not our private benefit.
The ambassador Paul wrote these words in the Constitution: But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. As the Governor (the Holy Spirit) delegates Kingdom authority to Arlene and I, He teaches us through the Constitution and His direction, of the Kingdom, how to use His gifts correctly and effectively. But we are not unique, as we all have gifts if we will use them and be directed by the Holy Spirit. Read what the ambassador Paul told the Believers in the city of Corinth: Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant... But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
The Governor (the Holy Spirit) shows us that administration has to do with serving others, not lording it over people. Remember, God gave us access, not ownership. We don't own anything. He grants us access. The ambassador Peter made this statement while speaking to the people of promise scattered throughout Asia Minor: As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Paul, ambassador to the Gentiles, also made this statement: There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.
I must say, I hate (and I never use that word lightly) that there are some disturbing trends in the use of spiritual gifts for profit and self promotion. There are some well-known people using the name Christian, who use their gifts to make money off fellow Kingdom citizens. You can probably name a few, if you think about it. Never with a Kingdom message, but always speaking prosperity and blessings. They are "selling" healings and personal prophecies, telling the people if they give a certain amount they will be delivered from their sickness or receive a "word from God". These people go on vacation many times a year and live in extravagant homes on your dime. Yet, they do not preach or teach the Kingdom message. Sadly, people still give blindly. Don't sweat it though, as everyone must answer for their actions. But be wise and filled with Kingdom knowledge. Have discernment in all your decisions.
Remember this one thing: The purpose of a true government is to serve its citizens. Therefore, if the Holy Spirit gives you a gift, you are to use it in service of your fellow Kingdom citizens.
