Kingdom 102: The Kingdom Reintroduced Pt 2
Many preachers mention the word kingdom in their messages and may even have it included in the name on the building, but they really don't have a clue what a kingdom is or how it functions. They try to fit it into their traditional religious box. Then, there are those whose preaching and prophesying focuses on being in the "last days" and that the second coming is around the corner. Both give a false impression of the Kingdom and the Gospel Jesus preached. Let us consider the facts of what the King spoke: And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. It doesn't get any clearer than that!
From what I have read, currently the world population exceeds seven billion. China alone has over two billion people, the vast majority of whom have never heard of the name of the Lord Jesus. This is why the Holy Spirit has us to create the Kingdom citizens website--so those who have access to the internet in those countries can learn the teaching of the Kingdom and journey to those remote areas of their country and spread the Kingdom gospel. There are over 900 million people living on the continent of Africa, many of whom are animist (the belief in the existence of spirits separate from bodies; belief in conscious life in nature and inanimate objects--the belief that all natural phenomena have souls independent of their physical being) Many others are under the influence of the Muslim religion. Although the religion of Christianity is firmly established on the continent, many African believers have never heard the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. They may know Jesus, but they have never been taught about their status and rights as sons and daughters of the Lord God's citizens and heirs of His Kingdom.
Everywhere the Lord Jesus went, He preached the Kingdom and the attributes of the Kingdom manifest with that Word. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.” And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.
Please note: Jesus was teaching, preaching and healing. These were the three main aspects of His assignment. Teaching shows Jesus' concern for them to understand the Kingdom concept. Preaching shows His concern and passion for His commitment to deliver the Kingdom message. Healing shows Kingdom attributes in power. His display of healing authenticated His authority as King, proving that He truly was the Lord God's Son.
Our focus should always be on the Lord God's Word and Jesus was the Word. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus stated this concerning His message:
Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”
We should meditate on those words. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
