Kingdom 102: The Kingdom is the Good News Pt 2
As I stated in my last article, there are many who call themselves preachers of the Gospel, but it isn't the Gospel of the Kingdom. Many preach what we call a "good word". They leave them feeling good, but no substance of the Kingdom. If you are a Kingdom representative, you should be preaching and teaching the Kingdom government message. We should learn to stay focused on the Word of the King. We have to be very careful of what we hear. Remember what ambassador Paul stated while speaking to the citizens at Ephesus. ...in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience
We have heard so much concerning the increase of religious hatred, strife and conflict throughout the world. So many people have their allegiance to Islam, Christianity, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. Those are all religious institutions and nothing whatsoever to do with the Kingdom of God. Some have embraced the Lord God's Constitution, but not as a mindset or concept fitting our King; only as a religious faith. By the way, that is having a religious concept, and because of that concept you have a religious mindset. I know because I was there at one time, but I have been transformed by the renewing of my mind. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
There are many religious leaders that preach God, their Bible, and what they believe in their religious beliefs and customs. They may take a violent approach. Do these devout militants serve the same God we serve? There are many things which are done in the name of God that are far from the Spirit of God. Unfortunately, the Christian church throughout history has been far from blameless in this regard. They distorted God's Constitution to further their purpose. Anytime that the Church becomes obsessed with "advancing the Kingdom for the sake of Jesus" to the point of abusing and even killing people, seizing people's property, and fighting among themselves; they cease to accurately and effectively represent the Lord God in this world. The Lord Jesus never advocated violence to advance His message of the Kingdom. In fact, He was totally the opposite: When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered. And Judas, who betrayed Him, also knew the place; for Jesus often met there with His disciples.
Then Judas, having received a detachment of troops, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?”
They answered Him, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”
And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,” that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”
Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”
By embracing violent methods to spread the Kingdom message, we literally cease to be the Lord God's Church. In fact, we may carry the name of Jesus, but we misrepresent the Kingdom and have strayed far from His Spirit. The really sad reality is we lead others astray with that same mentality. The Lord God doesn't need to conquer the earth because it already belongs to Him. The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.
