Kingdom 102: The Kingdom is the Good News
Many people speak of the Good News of the Gospel, but fail to acknowledge that the Good News is the Kingdom of God. Jesus made it very clear--“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Everything that the Lord does serves His Kingdom purpose. If that be the case, then why aren't we falling in line with His Word? One of the main reasons we so often misunderstand the Lord God is because we fail to recognize that fact. Remember, the Lord God, from the beginning, intended to extend His Kingly dominion from the invisible and spiritual realm into the visible physical realm. This would be accomplished through the human beings He created and placed in authority over the rest of the created order here on earth.
It was because of man's disobedience to the Lord God's command, that man abdicated his place of authority and came under Lucifer's sway, falling into spiritual bondage and blindness. Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” Once again, the Lord God's purpose never changes. He enacted a plan formed from before the foundation of the world to guide us to rediscover His Kingdom. Remember, the Lord God's goal is the restore man to his rightful place of dominion and earthly leadership. Lucifer must be removed from the earthly throne he stole, or should I say, what we gave him through our disobedience. This restoration of the Lord God's rulership on earth through mankind is truly what lies at the heart of the faith we hold as believers and followers of the Lord Christ.
By having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our mortal bodies, we are to preach and teach the same Kingdom Gospel. The Lord God isn't a God of chaos. There isn't any division between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. While speaking to the scribes, the Lord Jesus reminded them of the first law or commandment. Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. ... “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please take note: The Kingdom of Heaven has come to planet earth. That was Jesus' message, which was given to Him by His Father. It reflects His divine mission on earth, as well as the passion and desire of His heart. Keep in mind, the driving motivation of the Lord Jesus wasn't to get to heaven; that is the goal of those who are religious. It was to get heaven to us. The Lord Jesus' passion was to establish His Father's Kingdom on earth in the hearts of mankind. They were to honor and obey the King--not famous men and women. Always remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ.
