Kingdom 102: The Final Process: Becoming One With the Holy Spirit
If you take time to read and study the Lord God's Constitution, you will see that He wants us to trust in His Word. That is what Abraham did. That was the beginning of the process of restoring the Kingdom. Our faith in His written Word is our greatest asset. Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land.
Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. So Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South. Abram had faith in the Lord God's Word. He was obedient to the Voice and Word of the King and Creator. Being obedient to God's Word will reap great benefits to your mortal and spiritual being. The Holy Spirit is the extension of the Lord God living in us. Like the earliest disciples of the Lord Jesus, we who are believers have the Holy Spirit living in us as a continuing Presence. This makes us like them, citizens of a new order.
Remember, those of us who are filled with the Holy Spirit are those of the new order. This is why the Lord Jesus instructed His disciples to wait for the Comforter. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” He--the Holy Spirit--will guide us into all truth. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments. Notice, He will glorify the Lord Jesus. Whenever you see men who are in leadership positions who always want to be seen, you should realize that they have their priorities out of order and aren't being led by the Holy Spirit. That is a clear sign. The Holy Spirit brings conviction. Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? If you believe in the Lord God's Word, you will live by His Written Word (His Constitution--the Bible). If you love the Lord Jesus the Christ, you will definitely obey His written Word. Then your behavior will begin to change. Jesus made it plain concerning those who really love Him: He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
Jesus isn't a religious figure, but an individual of royalty. Keep in mind, as citizens of the new spiritual order, we are greater than those Old Testament men and women who went before us. This isn't because of any particular merit of our own, but because of the indwelling Holy Spirit, which they didn't know. To this extent that we have the Lord God's Spirit dwelling inside of us, we are greater than Abraham. We are greater than Moses. We are greater than Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Samson, Samuel and Saul. We have something those great men of God did not have. We do not coexist with the Holy Spirit, but become one with the Holy Spirit as we are filled with God's Word. They spoke of the Kingdom, but we are living in it!
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
