Kingdom 102: Principles of the Kingdom
1. The Lord Jesus' purpose was twofold: to proclaim the arrival of God's Kingdom. From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”...And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Through His blood, He provides entry into the Kingdom for all who would come. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
2. The Lord Jesus' assignment was to reintroduce the Kingdom. Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
3. Being born again is the way into the Kingdom. It is the necessary first step; but the Gospel of the Kingdom involves so much more. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4. The Kingdom of Heaven is a jurisdiction over which the influence of the Lord God has full authority. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; but the earth He has given to the children of men.
5. As Christ's ambassadors, we represent the Kingdom government of the Lord God. He made this quite clear: “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
6. Keep in mind, the antidote to ignorance is knowledge of God's Constitution. Knowledge comes through truth and truth brings liberation. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children...Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth...And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
7. Without spiritual enlightenment into the divine truth of Christ, all other knowledge ultimately means nothing. I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
8. The Lord Jesus came to restore our position in God's government, to make us righteous not religious.
9. When we are in the right relationship with the Lord God, He can extend His Kingdom in this world, His rulership, into our lives and rule the earth through us. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
10. Through Christ, our sins (disobedience) are forgiven and we receive a full pardon from God. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
11: Jesus couldn't come until an earthly kingdom model existed as a visual illustration to help people understand His teachings concerning the Kingdom. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
12. Christ's Kingdom of truth is made up of citizens, not religious members. Not only are they truth seekers, but also truth followers. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”...My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
