Kingdom 102: How Do You Enter?
We are tripod beings. One, we are spirit. Two, we live in a body of dirt (earth). Three, we have a soul, which is our senses and emotions (mind, will and emotions). Only the spirit can instantly be born again. The Lord Jesus made it plain when He spoke to a religious ruler by the name of Nicodemus: Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The Greek word translated "again" can mean either "from above" or "anew". Titus, an ambassador of the Kingdom said this concerning the new birth: But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus told Nicodemus that you can't even see the Kingdom of God without being born again. Jesus made it plain: “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." Converted means to turn around. This is what happened with Simon Peter. And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Do you see, Satan had to ask permission to trouble Peter. My point here is that when you are in obedience with the Lord's purpose for your life, you have no regard to the evil spiritual forces around you. Until your purpose with the King is complete, no one can stop you but you. They may hinder you, but never stop you.
Notice the framework in which the new birth comes about. It is the spirit, not the body. It is the spirit, not the soul. The new birth is to be reborn into the Kingdom of God. This is an instant restoration of your spirit through the Holy Spirit (which is the Governor). From there you must teach and train your mind and body to submit to the Word of God. That is a process. It is not instantly formulated into being.
If the new birth were set in the framework of the organized church, it would probably mean the person undergoing new birth would get baptized and join the church, organization or denomination and be a faithful attendant member, as well as a supporter of that church. Be advised, that is religion, not Kingdom government. There are certain benefits to being a religious member: prayer meetings, Bible study--mostly on Wednesday nights in the United States; renouncing wrong habits (sin) and associations, praise & worship with dancing and sometimes even "falling out". These are all concepts we have based on religious traditions we have experienced in our Christian life. The Kingdom concept is simply stated by our King and Lord: “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. Obey and believe in His Word and He will give you the Holy Spirit to help govern and guide you. There it is in Jesus' words!
The Lord Jesus never went to a synagogue to pray! Where did we get the idea that the church was the place to pray? Religious people. Remember WE are the temple of God. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
