Kingdom 102: Carrying Out the King's Policies and Principles
When we start embracing the Lord Jesus for who He is, we will begin embracing the Kingdom concept. Then and only then will we begin to separate ourselves from the religious mindset that many of us have. Our first allegiance and responsibility as Christ's ambassadors is to make sure we are connected to our King in such a way that we can know and understand what He states, and speak and act accordingly. To love Christ is to obey Him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
As ambassadors we only have one function. This is where the pressure is removed. We are not responsible for establishing policy. We are only responsible for carrying out the policies established by the King. Religions have traditions, customs and members. The Kingdom has policies, principles and citizens. It isn't our responsibility to decide what we believe and think. Our job is to learn and discern what our King decrees and come into agreement and alignment with His written Word. Remember, there is no religion--not even Christianity--in the Kingdom. There is only one allegiance and that is to the King. If we are led by His Spirit, we are sons of the living God. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. We have received the Spirit of adoption, that alone makes us His children. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit that we are His children. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
Whenever someone challenges us to take a position contrary to our King's will, all we have to do is fall back on what He stated in His Word. He left His written Word (Constitution) to live by, which dwells in us. Here is an example: Someone might ask you, "What is wrong with a man and a woman living together without being married? What is wrong with having sex without being married? This is a new age and we need to be up with the times." Your reply should be along these lines: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Always respond with God's written Word. You should also reply, "The position of my government (my King) is that it is disobedience (or sin). There is no debate, argument and it is a 'done deal'. We simply fall back on the living Word. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”
Remember, what the Lord Jesus said while He was here on earth: Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” The Lord Jesus the Christ was true to His Father's message; and it is our message to a disobedient world.
