Kingdom 101: You--Mankind--Were Created to Rule
Through my consistent study in the Lord God's Constitution, I have come to realize through the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ is King over everything that is, whether visible or invisible. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. The Lord God has given Him all power and authority. John the Baptist made this statement concerning King Jesus:
The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Please note: From the Lord God's throne in Heaven, He reigns in glory and majesty over the invisible spirit realm. Now His reign over the physical domain takes a different form. Rather than rule directly, the Lord God chose from the very beginning to exercise His kingly authority on earth. He accomplishes this through human envoys created in His image to rule the earth in His name as His representatives. Let us return to the beginning:
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
God created man because He desired someone to rule over the physical realm that He created. Human beings were created to exercise dominion over the planet earth and all its creatures, but never over mankind. Earth is the domain of humanity's rulership. This is why slavery of another human being is completely against God's nature. It forces a man to serve another man....a ruler to serve another ruler. Keep in mind, God gave man free will. He never forced mankind to serve Him. So why should one man enslave another? Man was created to rule and manage, cultivate and spread the culture of the Kingdom of God. This is what King Jesus instructed His disciples to do:
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. And He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.
“Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
This was, and is, Kingdom culture.
