Kingdom 101: The Lord God Requires a Body
This is the main reason Jesus had to leave planet earth; so that the Holy Spirit could be with us and in us. “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. Keep in mind, this law of divine delegation, creating mankind's dominion over earth, has made the body of man indispensable and a prerequisite for legal activity on planet earth. This is why the Lord God could not--would not--stop the fall of man. It wasn't because He was weak or powerless, but rather because He was faithful to His Words. The fall of man, therefore, is in essence, the result of the faithfulness of the Lord God. However, this is also why the promise of the Kingdom being taken from the adversary had to include and require the promise of the coming of the Spirit of the Lord God in a human body. Jesus called Him the Comforter and Counselor. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. He was also called the Spirit of truth. “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
Remember, the Lord God was bound by His own law. The Father already had a plan worked out as to how He was going to restore man. He would introduce His Son into the human equation. This would be done by the power of incarnation that the Lord God would circumvent His own law. Through Jesus the Christ, the Lord God could accomplish His Will. Throughout the life of the Lord Jesus, we see His commitment to the Will of His Father.
Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.
Now, remember, the Lord God requires a body to get His Will done on planet earth. Through the Lord Jesus He got that body and now through the indwelling of Christ in us (the Holy Spirit) He can continue that work. During King Jesus' earthly ministry, He offered us various secret aspects of the Kingdom. One of those aspects is the power of prayer when we approach the King. By the power of prayer, we can arrange to get the Lord God's power into our earthly realm. King Jesus made this statement to His disciples:
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” What King Jesus stated to His disciples applies equally to all Kingdom citizens. When it comes to the things in the earthly realm, heaven responds to what we do. Heaven binds what we bind and looses what we loose. But keep in mind, you must be a citizen in good standing. You can't behave in a manner that isn't conducive to the Kingdom lifestyle. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.
