Kingdom 101: He is the King of the Invisible and Visible Worlds
Once again, your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (who is the Word) is your greatest asset. The Lord God is the King of both the invisible and the visible realms; the spiritual world and they physical universe. He is El Shaddai, God Almighty, the Ruler who sets all of the standards in heaven and earth. Those of us who are Kingdom citizens in good standing, obey His Word and live according to His standards. Our King lives in and rules the unseen realm and is the Creator and owner of the seen realm, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth where He also created human beings to rule under His authority as ambassadors of the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. As the King of everything, he is the standard setter, the rule establisher and the Judge of all things. That is what it means to be King.
Keep in mind, a king cannot be a king unless he has something to rule over. It is impossible to be a king over nothing. The Lord God wasn’t king until He created a realm over which to rule. Until that time, He was God (not the “Lord God”); omniscient and omnipotent, Father , Son and Holy Spirit—three in one, complete, whole and self-contained. God was standing on nothing, by the corner of nowhere. Then, in accordance with His nature, He created first a spiritual realm and then a physical realm.
The question that arises is: : If God was fully complete within Himself, why did He create the universe and everything in it, both seen and unseen? He did it for His own pleasure and because He is by nature a Creator. Creating is the Lord God’s natural expression. (You could say it is His culture). Upon completing His creation, the Creator became King of creation because He now had a realm to rule over. Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”
Remember, whatever a king rules over is called his domain. Without a domain, the title “King” has very little meaning and carries very little weight. We are His sons and daughters. We are His children. We are His domain. We belong to King Jesus, so we must embrace His laws and principles and live up to His standards.
