Kingdom 101: A World Just for You
Every person who has ever lived has faced the same situation, being designed for one kingdom, yet forced to live in another. Most people are never able to clearly define the problem. This is because they rarely read and study God's Constitution (Bible). For them, life always seems out of sync, purposeless and full of misery; as if something just doesn't quite fit. They are generally dissatisfied and disconnected from life and the media controls every thought, but they don't even know why. Nothing works accurately when it is removed from the environment it was designed for. It is like an eagle living in a chicken coop.
One of the fundamental principles of creation is that whenever the Lord God creates something, He designs it according to its purpose and intended environment. In other words, when God created the birds of the air, He gave them wings and the desire to fly. Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” When the Lord God created the fish, He put in them the ability to swim and created the environment in which to live. So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Now, when God created mankind to have dominion over the earth, He imparted to us the ability to govern, rule, lead and manage planet earth, it's creatures and resources. We are designed to rule, not to be ruled. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Remember, we are designed to govern, not to be governed. We are designed to manage, not to be managed. We are designed to lead not to follow. To understand anything, always go back to the original purpose.
Have you noticed that whenever anyone tries to tell us what to do, even someone in a legitimate position of authority, there arises in us a spirit or attitude of resistance? That is because it is our nature to resist being ruled or controlled by others. This is due to our disobedient nature (sin), which is inherited from Adam and Eve, which the Constitution states is always rebellion.
Remember what the Lord stated through Samuel His servant: For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,He also has rejected you from being king. God's Word in the Old Testament displays His character and that will never change. His Word is sovereign.
