Kingdom 101: A Fruitful Metamorphosis

The ambassador Paul made this statement: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2
I find it very important that we learn to manage our body (in terms of our behavior and self control) and get it in order because it is our legal house or temple. If we lose it, we can't do anything else. WE can't serve the Lord God effectively if we are addicted to sex, tobacco, drugs or alcohol. We can't fulfill our potential if, by the age of thirty, we are sick and have cancer riddled lungs. The Lord God can't bless us if we are weak and sick from abusing some kind of drug or mind altering substance. We cannot be prisoners of addiction and fulfill God's purpose for your lives. We become ineffective in speaking the Kingdom message.
Ambassador Paul made it very clear that we need to "be transformed by the renewing of our mind". What does he mean? His point is this: Even though as believers, we have been born again through the Spirit, we still have a mental problem. We have the Holy Spirit, but not the mind of the Holy Spirit. Our spirit is reborn, but our soul--mind, emotions and will--needs to be converted. We have the anointing but not the spirit of the anointing. We have to be taught how to think. That only comes through reading and studying the Word of God's Constitution (Bible).
The Greek word metamorphoo (from which comes the English word metamorphosis) literally means to make a complete and total turn around or change. The transformation that the ambassador Paul speaks about here involves a complete revolution of our mentality or mindset.
I have learned in my life on this planet called earth, that obeying the King's Word is much more important than any sacrifice I could ever make. The Lord God's Word is sovereign.

Hear the word of the Lord,
You rulers of Sodom;
Give ear to the law of our God,
You people of Gomorrah:
“To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?”
Says the Lord.
“I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle.
I do not delight in the blood of bulls,
Or of lambs or goats.
“When you come to appear before Me,
Who has required this from your hand,
To trample My courts?
Bring no more futile sacrifices;
Incense is an abomination to Me.
The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies--
I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
Your New Moons and your appointed feasts
My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me,
I am weary of bearing them.
When you spread out your hands,
I will hide My eyes from you;
Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear.
Your hands are full of blood.
“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil, Learn to do good;
Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow.
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;
But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword”;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
