Keys to the Kingdom, Understanding Its Concept
I thank the Lord God for His principles and laws. They stand out in my life. That is because I embrace them and by doing so, others others will also grow in wisdom and knowledge of God's Kingdom.
Every nation and civil society functions on laws and customs that cause their society to function without chaos. These functions depend on those who have the mind to obey the constitution and the body of law that create a context and reference for social behavior that relates to the government and other members of the society. Now the results of those who have the mindset to embrace their government regulations and laws result in a culture that consists of a society of order. In order for a government to thrive, it must first have a set of laws that promote values, morals, and standards that govern the citizens' relationships with the authority structure. What I am stating in essence, all nations and kingdoms contain inherent principles and laws that must be adhered to by each citizen in order for the citizen to benefit from his citizenship privileges and rights. By the way, these laws and principles are called by King Jesus, 'Keys to the Kingdom'.
Have you ever found keys lying in your home that you couldn't figure out where they belonged or what door or lock they fit? Possessing a key or set of keys you can't identify or match to a particular lock or door is as bad as not having a key at all. My question is, what good are keys if you can't use them? They are useless as locks you can't open. This is the problem with many believers today. We have a complete set of keys and don't know how to apply them (meaning Scriptures).
Please note: Knowledge is only powerful when you know how to use it. Read what God conveyed to His representative: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. It is like having all this information but not knowing how to use it. Having all this power available to us but not knowing how to apply it.
The knowledge of the Word of God is very important. I can't stress that enough. But, it is non-productive by itself for effective living as citizens of the Kingdom. This is because most Kingdom citizens lack a proper Kingdom mindset. Life in the Kingdom is about returning to the governing authority of God in the earth and learning how to live and function in that authority. First we must embrace the Kingdom concept, then we will develop a Kingdom mindset. It is all about the mind and the mind is the heart of mankind. The Kingdom of Heaven is the Lord God's desire and purpose for us. Jesus made this statement:
But seek the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
Hosea 4:6 Luke 12:31-32
