Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords
It is very important that you understand the kingdom concept, because this separation is not what God originally designed or intended. His purpose is to restore the office of king and priest into one. Jesus fulfilled this when He came to earth. Like Adam, Jesus was (and is) King. Do you remember what Pilate asked Jesus, and how Jesus stated His reply to him?
Constitutional Scripture: John 18:33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?"
Now read Jesus' reply:
Constitutional Scripture: John 18:34 Jesus answered him, "Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?"
Please note: Jesus answered a question with a question. Then Pilate asked Him another question:
Constitutional Scripture: John 18:35 Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and chief priests have delivered You to me. What have you done?"
Now read how Jesus replied to him, and what He stated:
Constitutional Scripture: John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."
Please note: Jesus never once said to Pilate that He was a king, and yet, Pilate wanted to hear Him admit it.
Constitutional Scripture: John 18:37 Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
Focus Point: Jesus is the One in the Constitution of Revelation called "King of kings and Lord of lords":
Constitutional Scripture: Revelation 19:16 And he has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
King of Kings
And Lord of Lords
Focus Point: Now at the same time, Jesus is also a priest. In the new Testament of God's Constitution in the book of Hebrews and the 4th chapter and 14th to 16th verses; Jesus is our great High Priest who intercedes before the Father:
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15) For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Focus Point: Keep this in mind, Jesus is our example, the prototype of what God desires for all His children and citizens. He wants us to be like Jesus, kings and priests in the world: kings to faithfully represent His government and execute His authority on the earth. He wants us to be priests who will represent His love, grace and mercy to a world of people stumbling in the darkness with no knowledge either of Him or of His Kingdom. This is the purpose that lies behind His call to each of us when we come to Christ. As Peter stated in his first New Testament letter:
Constitutional Scripture: I Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10) who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Remember, Jesus knows what we are going through
