Kingdom Knowledge: His Enduring Word
King Jesus and His Word are one and He always speaks with authority. Then Jesus went to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and taught there in the synagogue every Sabbath day. There, too, the people were amazed at His teaching, for He spoke with authority.
When you are led by and filled with the Holy Spirit--the Governor--you will speak with authority too because you are in His purpose for your life. Know that you are in His purpose for your life and that it isn't just an aspiration on your part. Always ask the Father to give you a confirmation. If it is of the Holy Spirit, He will give you confirmation.
Always remember, the Lord God's Word is eternal and you can always depend on it. Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven...The very essence of Your words is truth; all Your just regulations will stand forever. God's Word is powerful and if you embrace it as your own, you will have eternal life. There were many disciples who refused to follow the King when He made this statement: So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day. Those who failed to understand what King Jesus was saying weren't chosen to come by the Father. Jesus was aware that His disciples were complaining, so He said to them, “Does this offend you? Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again? The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But some of you do not believe me.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning which ones didn’t believe, and He knew who would betray Him.)
Then He said, “That is why I said that people can’t come to me unless the Father gives them to me.” At this point many of His disciples turned away and deserted Him. This still holds true today. There are many people in religious circles who fail to embrace His Word. They abandon the Kingdom message for their own religious traditions and customs. But Peter had the right answer when questioned by King Jesus. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know You are the Holy One of God.”
Many religious people here in the U.S.refuse to embrace King Jesus' Word concerning the Kingdom. Now is the time for all to realize that the Kingdom of the Lord God isn't a religion but a government and Jesus the Christ is our King. I have said many times in my articles, that all of our earthly accomplishments will be destroyed and consumed by fire at the Lord's return, but His Word will last forever.
In the United States of America, where I am a citizen, there are many points of disagreement between what they believe and what I believe. But that doesn't matter. The most important thing is that I am a citizen in good standing in the Kingdom of God. That is my eternal citizenship!
If you embrace the Son of God as your Lord and King, all that you really need is His eternal Word operating in your life! That is what happened to those people in the city of Antioch. The Gentiles were hungry for the Word. As Paul and Barnabas left the synagogue that day, the people begged them to speak about these things again the next week. Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace of God.
The following week almost the entire city turned out to hear them preach the word of the Lord. But when some of the Jews saw the crowds, they were jealous; so they slandered Paul and argued against whatever he said.
Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared, “It was necessary that we first preach the Word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles. For the Lord gave us this command when He said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’” Remember what the Lord Jesus said to the religious ruler by the name of Nicodemus: “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”... “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”... so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.
These are the enduring Words of the King. By the way, the Gentiles received the enduring Word with great joy. When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were chosen for eternal life became believers. The Gentiles begged ambassador Paul and Barnabas to preach the enduring Word to them the next Sabbath. They were tired of religion and their religious leaders. Heaven and earth will disappear, but My Words will never disappear.
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the enduring Word of your King!
