Being a Citizen of the Kingdom Means to Trust
Jesus made it quite plain when He said "Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow...." This is because He came to reestablish the relationship between humans and His Father God. (Matthew 6:33-34)
The first thing we as Kingdom Citizens should do is seek to know more about our creator and what His will and purpose is for our lives. We should always put His purpose for our lives first. Upon doing this, our anxiety will be at an all-time low. Stress and anxiety should never rule a Kingdom Citizen's life. Why? Because a Kingdom Citizen trusts and relies on his King to handle his welfare... He has our best interest at heart. Welfare isn't a bad word as this society would have us believe. It means simply to trust in the King to handle all of our needs and to take care of His citizens if we seek Him first.
Keep in mind--in a kingdom you own nothing. All the land and property belongs to the kingdom or king. Whatever is your need, the king or Lord will provide. So why should you worry about things? Or in my words... "Don't sweat the small stuff!" Put the Lord in His proper place in your life--first.

Maturing to a Strong Citizen
One of the most definite ways you can mature as a Kingdom Citizen is to be aware of the company--associates--you keep. Keep in mind that Jesus was aware of those who followed Him and who they were. Have you ever read or heard this saying... "Evil communication corrupts good manners"? Well, it is true. You have to be aware who you hang out with and who wants to become your friend. Your associates can either pull you up or bring you down to their level. I say this... If you are the smartest one in your group, then get a new group!
As a Kingdom citizen, you have to be productive and always becoming more mature and growing in the knowledge of your creator. We should always be studying and coming into more knowledge in order to assist and help other brothers and sisters in the kingdom. It's very important that you study and read God's word. By the way, as a citizen, you should love the word of God, because it is your lifeline.
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
