God's Priority and Assignment for Mankind
Remember, Jesus instructed us to seek first the Kingdom. Jesus tells us to also seek the righteousness of the Kingdom. In essence, righteousness describes the maintenance of the rightly aligned relationship of the governing authority so as to qualify for the right to receive governmental privileges.
Focus Point: Jesus emphasizes the Kingdom and the need to be righteous so that you can receive "all things added unto you". This promise includes all your needs: physical, social, emotional, psychological, financial, security, and a sense of self worth and purpose.
Focus Point: Therefore, God established only two priorities for mankind: the Kingdom of God and the righteousness of God. Which in essence is being in right standing with His Word.
Now here is something that will surprise you. All of us are seeking the Kingdom of God even if you aren't aware of it. Ignorance of the Kingdom concept makes it difficult to understand fully the message of God's Constitution.
Focus Point: The secret to a full and fulfilled life is discovery, understanding and application of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
Please note: Religion postpones the Kingdom to a future experience.
Focus Point: God's desire for you is that you enter the kingdom life and now experience, explore, apply, practice and enjoy living with the benefits, promises and privileges of Heaven on earth.
Questions:
1. What does seeking God first mean to you? What do you think it means to seek the righteousness of the Kingdom? How do you do this in a practical way?
2. In your opinion, what does the righteousness of the Kingdom include? What aspects of righteousness do you see in the church today?
3. When Jesus tells us that all things will be added to us if we seek His Kingdom and righteousness first, do you think most citizens of the kingdom believe this? Why or why not? do you struggle finding the faith to believe this to be true? Why or why not?
4. Why is it true that "all of us are seeking the kingdom even if we all don't realize it"? Does this mean that non-believers are seeking the Kingdom? What shows us that they are doing so? How can the knowledge of this fact help us to be ready to share with non-believers?
5. How would you explain the difference between the way religion deals with the Kingdom and the way a relationship with Christ explains the Kingdom? How does your life in the Kingdom bring you fulfillment?
Please note: Jesus never once called people who believed in Him "Christians". The name was given to believers from those who followed Jesus; such as the disciples.
Constitutional Scripture: Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
Focus Point: The concept of "Kingdom" was not invented by mankind, but was the first form of government introduced by Our Creator. Man's original assignment from God was a Kingdom assignment: Yahweh, the King, extended His heavenly Kingdom to earth through His offspring, man.
Remember, we are not a religion, but a royal family.
