God is the Source of All Potential
So many failed to accept this fact by the way they live their lives. In other words, their behavior fails to exhibit this fact (everything that was and is was in God). Before God created anything, there was only God. Based on that, God had within Him the potential for everything He made. Nothing exists that was not first in God. God is the source of all life, because before anything was, God is.
Focus Point: God's Constitution states: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1
He pulled everything that He had made out of Himself. Before there was a beginning there was a creator. Before anything was, there was God. God did not begin when the beginning began. He was in the beginning for the beginning had a beginning.
Read what the Constitution states in the book of John
Constitutional Scripture: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Focus Point: Everything in this world that we know was in God before it came to be seen.
Constitutional Scripture: John 1:3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
Thought: In this manner, God is the source of all potential. He is everything we haven't yet seen. When we describe this characteristic of God, we say that He is omnipotent. Omni means "always" and potent means "full of power".
The Process: Here is the process that God chose:
First: God planned what He wanted to create. Second, He decided what kind of material substance He wanted His creation to be made from. Third, God spoke to the substance from which the thing was to be created and, Fourth, exactly what He spoke came forth from that to which He spoke.
Now in this manner, when God wanted to make plants, He spoke to the ground because that is the material substance from which He wanted them to come.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
When He wanted to create animals, God again spoke to the ground because He had planned for animals to be made of dirt.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.
I kind of jumped ahead of myself, but when God wanted fish, He spoke to the sea. Well, you can see the process. By the way, the whole process took six days, and that was His choice.
Now when God created man, this was a different process. He spoke to Himself. You came forth from God because He planned that human beings should be spirit even as He is Spirit. Too many people never discover God's purpose for creating them. They look elsewhere but to God their Creator and Source. They look to others for their existence. Their lives are unfulfilled and their potential is wasted. Don't allow God to grieve your lost.
Keep in mind, few things are impossible when they are tackled with diligence and skill. Great works are performed not my strength, but by perseverance. God created us with potential. He waits to see what you will do with the remarkable gift He has given to you.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
