God is Always Faithful to Sustain His Offspring
Growing up in the streets of New York City, I have seen so many ungodly things and situations. There were times when I asked myself, "Why do these individuals get away with murder and have so much money to throw away?" I soon realized that I wasn't alone in thinking in such a manner. Jeremiah the prophet had somewhat the same question, but he asked the Source.
Constitutional Scripture: (Jeremiah 12:1) Righteous are You, O Lord, when I plead with You; yet let me talk with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are those happy who deal so treacherously?
There were pimps, drug dealers, thieves, politicians, preachers and those who claim to know the Lord Jesus the Christ. It was just like it is today, only now it's worse. The churches are larger and those who claim to know the Lord, care less for one another. They still shout and praise the Lord while those who are hungry for the truth and knowledge are not being fed. The answer to these questions is the same as the answer to the question of why the righteous prosper. The Father (Sustainer) send the rain upon the just and the unjust because everyone and everything is from Him.
Constitutional Scripture: (Matthew 5:45) that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for he makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
If something comes from you as a pater meaning (father), then you must sustain it, even though it is rotten, no good, horrible and rebellious. Why? Because, God is a good, faithful and patient Father! He sustains, nourishes and protects. He is patient with you.
Constitutional Scripture: (II Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Jesus understood being that God was His continual Source and good things came from Him.
Constitutional Scripture: (Luke 11:11-13) If a son ask for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? 12) Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13) If you then, being evil knows how to give good gifts to your children how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
Please note: God's sustenance does not depend on behavior or how it is received. He sustains who He creates because of His goodness. Similarly, an earthly father who is modeling the heavenly Father will sustain, nourish and protect that which comes out of him as the source.
